Varistors are widely used in electronic circuits to protect against possible damage to the circuit because of the sudden change in the instantaneous voltage of the power supply system. When the high voltage comes, the resistance of the varistor decreases, while the current is split to prevent excessive transient voltage damage or interference, thus protecting sensitive electronic components.
